Christian Blog Censorship

I was reading John Zande’s Blog today and was curious as to why Citizen Tom , a Christian Blogger would ban John .  I decided to go over and ask Citizen Tom for myself.

Here is the short dialog we had.

First of all, I am NOT an Atheist, but a Deist. I have exchanged many comments with John Zande and have found him to be courteous especially during the times we have disagreed. I am curious why you felt the need to band him from commenting on your blog ?

Thank you for allowing my comment here.

You said, “What is an Internet troll? Here is one definition.
An Internet troll is someone who posts offensive, controversial, or divisive material on an Internet community.”

“Offensive” according to who ? “Controversial” according to who ? “Divisive” according to who ?

Isn’t this what Jesus and his disciples had to deal with 2,000 years ago ? Wouldn’t they be considered “Trolls” today ?

I’m not sure how much a Deist and a Theist will be able to discuss here. I guess we will find out.

    Thanks again.

I was banned for my first and only time last year by a Preacher who didn’t like me pointing out factual errors in some of his statements.  I informed him it was Christians like him who helped me leave the Christian Religion.

If Christianity teaches inclusiveness, why are so many Christians exclusive ???   Hmmm………..

  1. Yep, that was a brief exchange. I don’t think Tom has ever had someone challenge his worldview as I did, and he panicked. His published “excuse” is absurd, because if you go back to the first exchanges you’ll see how it all unfolded.

In this secont post (link below) Tom was going quite crazy, attaching EDITORS NOTES to every comment. It was kinda’ funny and he certainly didn’t expect me to run with it. That sort of backfired on him terribly

  2. Ah, it actually all started on Colorstorm’s blog then migrated to tom’s because Colorstorm was editing and deleting comments like a drunk man

  3. Anyone can ban you just because your name is John. I find it incredulous when someone feels the urge to ban for the definitions citizen tom gave. Don’t Christians realize this is censorship ? Fear blinds all reason.

    • Would appear so, Ken. Tom went off on a rather large side-road in trying to justify his actions. He kept trying to claim I ignored Keith’s answer, only to then ignore every time I informed him that i had in fact responded, and debunked it. Strange man. It’s really a sign of how fragile their belief systems actually are. All’s fine when its just the echo-chamber, but the moment “facts” start being presented they tend to freak out.
